Jamiyah FoodBank collects, sorts, stores and distributes donated food to poor and needy families.the elderly, aged-sick people with disabilities, poor and needy families, low-income workers and unemployed. We currently serve more than 3000 beneficiaries.
Engineering Good is a Singapore-based charity that works to empower inclusivity for disadvantaged communities through sustainable engineering and technology solutions. They focus their efforts on supporting two key groups in the community: low income families through digital inclusion initiatives and persons with disabilities (PWDs) with assistive technology.
We are working with Bethesda Care Services to provide homebound seniors who are on the Meals-on-Wheels (MOW) program and Medical Escort & Transport (MET) services with a Deepavali gift pack to bring some festive cheer to them. We are hoping to raise 300 bundles for our seniors.
As more Singaporeans are on home recovery, some face challenges including financial difficulties in obtaining food or groceries, and households with many members struggle to adjust. We are hoping to provide 350 grocery bags to temporarily alleviate the challenges of home recovery for those who express that they need help.
